Cox Access Partner Program FAQs

CAPP allows organizations – private, public, or non-profit - to subsidize the cost of broadband internet for a pre-determined group of 25 people or more. The organization must provide to Cox the home addresses of the individuals that will receive the subsidy.

The subsidy may be any increment of $10, and it will appear as a credit on the recipient’s bill.

The organization will receive a monthly invoice, and may pay by ACH or check.  Additionally, the organization may provide a lump sum to Cox from which payments will be debited.

Your school will provide details on the amount of the subsidy and for what time period. This can change at any time.

Your school has not provided Cox with your address as being eligible for this program. Please reach out to your school if you feel you should qualify.

Students are welcome to upgrade their service at any time. The account holder or authorized user will need to contact Cox directly to verify they are eligible and request the change in service. However, all questions regarding the services and amounts your school will subsidize should be directed to your school.

Cox provides consolidated bills to our customers, meaning all the services they have with Cox are included on a single bill each month. Any other services that are not being paid by the school will need to be paid as they are today. Any payments made by the school will reflect as a partial payment on the account. You can always keep up to date on the balance by downloading the Cox App or visiting cox.com/mybill.

All financial obligations are between Cox and the families whose name appears on the Cox account (account holder). The account holder is responsible for the full balance due on the account, by the due date listed on the bill each month, and subject to any additional fees that may apply, including late fees and equipment costs. Any payment made by the school will be posted as a payment to the student, but ultimately it is the account holder who is responsible for the balance due.

It is the responsibility of the school to communicate their intentions with the students. The parent of the student would need to contact Cox should they wish to discontinue service once the school is no longer making payments.

No, all services are provided to the families directly by Cox Residential services. The services are governed under the Cox Residential Customer Service Agreement, all residential terms of service and associated policies, including privacy and acceptable use. These terms and conditions can be found online at cox.com/policy.

No. The customer may choose any service tier.  If the fee for service chosen exceeds the subsidy provided, the customer is responsible for paying the balance due.  Additionally, the modem must stay in good condition to avoid charges for lost or damaged equipment.

The organization providing the subsidy has not provided Cox with your address or identified you as eligible to receive the subsidy.  Please reach out to the organization if you have questions.
