Upgrading to McAfee Endpoint Protection

Solution

As part of ongoing efforts to provide solutions that deliver faster protection, detection, and correction, Cox Business is upgrading to McAfee Endpoint Protection at no additional cost or charge to you.
 
As the new exclusively supported protection, McAfee Endpoint Protection should be installed on your computers before the current product offering, Cox Business Security Suite, is no longer supported and your computers are at an increased security risk.
 
To avoid disruption of your computer protection, take action to upgrade within 90 days of receiving the email notice from Cox Business. Use the following information to upgrade to McAfee Endpoint Protection.

Completing the Initial Installation from MyAccount 

Use the following steps to install McAfee Endpoint Protection for the first time.

Note: It is recommended that you uninstall all existing antivirus software prior to installing your new McAfee Endpoint Protection.

In a web browser, go to www.coxbusiness.com.

ClickSign In MyAccount.

Enter your Admin User ID and Password, then click Sign In.

From the MyAccount page, scroll down to MyServices, then click the Internet tab.

Click Security Suite.

From the Security Suite page, click Upgrade.

Result: An activation email is sent to your preferred contact email address.

Use the instructions in the email to uninstall your existing antivirus software on your computer and then install your new McAfee Endpoint Protection. Refer to the sample email below.

Completing the Initial Installation from the ePO Cloud 

If you choose to not complete the initial installation using the activation email instructions and link, use the following steps to install McAfee Endpoint Protection by accessing the McAfee ePO Cloud.
 

Note: It is recommended that you uninstall all existing antivirus software prior to installing your new McAfee Endpoint Protection.

In a web browser, go to www.coxbusiness.com.

ClickSign In MyAccount.

Enter your Admin User ID and Password, then click Sign In.

From the MyAccount page, scroll down to MyServices, then click the Internet tab.

Click Security Suite.

Click Go to McAfee ePO Cloud.

Click the Getting Started tab, then click one of the following options.

  • Click Install Protection for the recommended default installation for Windows computers.
  • Click Customize Installation to view and change defaults or configure the installation for other operating systems.

Installing McAfee Endpoint Protection on Additional Computers 

Use the following steps to install McAfee Endpoint Protection on additional computers.

Click Go to McAfee ePO Cloud.

Use one of the following methods to locate and copy the installation link.
 

If the... Then...
Install URL displays on the Dashboard On the lower right corner of the Dashboard, right click on the Install URL, and then select Copy Link Address.
Install URL does NOT display on the Dashboard
  1. Click on the Getting Started tab, click Install Protection, and then click Install Protection on Other Computers.
  2. Right click on the Install URL and select Copy Link Address.

In a new email, paste the link into the body of your message, and then send to users within your organization.

Upon receiving your email, the new users will need to click the Install URL Hyperlink from your email and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
