Summary

If you have a client receiver in the Whole Home Multi-DVR setup, you'll want to assign it a default DVR.

Solution

The Default DVR feature makes it easier record programs from an HD cable box and store them to the same DVR each time.

Go to the HD cable box that's not a DVR.

Press the SETTINGS button on the remote.

  1. Highlight the Receivers option and press SELECT.
    Result: DVR Network displays in the middle box.
  2. Highlight the DVR Network option and press SELECT.

Highlight the Set Default DVR option and press SELECT.
Note: Info about the HD cable box you will assign a DVR is listed in the left box. In the example below, the name of the HD cable box is "Client" and it is an "HD" receiver.

  1. Use the left or right arrow buttons to highlight the name of the DVR you want. 
    Note: In example image below, we chose the BEDROOM DVR to make the recordings selected by the Client HD Receiver. 
  2. Press the B button to save the setting.
