You can view weather forecasts for your location or other cities by using the Rovi program guide. The information provides a five-day local forecast. You can access the current day's weather for 150 different cities.

Solution

You can view weather information from either a Cisco or Motorola set-top receiver.

On your remote control, press Menu to display the QuickMenu™ in the lower left corner of the TV screen.

Use the arrow key to select Weather on the QuickMenu and press Select on the remote.

Result: The PASSPORTweather™ page displays your local forecast by default. The screen displays current weather conditions and a five-day forecast.

To see weather for a different city, press A on your remote.

Result: A list of available cities is displayed.

Use the arrow buttons to select a city and press Select on the remote.

To select a city in a different state, press the left arrow button on your remote to display a list of states.

  • Press the arrow buttons on your remote to navigate to a different state and press Select.

    Result: The City menu is displayed.

  • If there is more than one city listed, use the arrow buttons to highlight the desired city and press Select.

    Result: The current weather and five-day forecast is displayed.

To see your local forecast again, press the C button on your remote.

To exit and return to the program you were watching, press the LAST button on your remote.
