If a VCR or TV does not respond to the Cox Digital Interactive ER1 Remote Control after you tried all of the codes listed in the list of manufacturer's codes for your brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try searching for your code.

Cox Digital Interactive ER1 Remote Control

To search for a code for a device, perform the following steps:

1. Turn on the device for which you want to find a code.
   
   
2. Point the remote control away from the device and press and hold the SELECT button and the mode button (either TV or VCR) associated with the device.
   
   Result: The LED on the remote control blinks twice
   
   
3. Using the number keys, enter 9 - 9 - 1.
   
   Result:
   • The LED on the remote control blinks twice.
   • The remote control searches for the appropriate code. When the search is complete, the LED on the remote control blinks twice.
   
   

4. Aim the remote control at the device and press the mode button associated with the device.
   
   

   Result:

   • The device associated with the selected mode button turns off.
   • If the device does not turn off, repeat step 4.
   
   
5. As soon as the device turns off, press the SELECT button.
   
   Result: The LED on the remote control blinks twice.
   
   

6. Aim the remote control at the device and press the POWER button.
   
   

   Result: The device turns on.
   
   All steps complete.
