If a home entertainment device does not respond to the Cox Digital Interactive M1054 Remote Control after you tried all of the codes listed in the list of manufacturer's codes for your brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try programming the remote control to auto-search for an alternate code.

Cox Digital Interactive M1054 Remote Control

To search for a code for a device, perform the following steps:

1. Turn on the device that you want the remote control to control.
2. On the remote control, press the appropriate mode button for the device once.

   Audio amplifier, tuner, or receiver	AUD
   Television	TV

   
   Result: The selected mode button blinks once.

3. Press and hold the SETUP button until the selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button.

4. Using the number keys, enter 9 - 9 - 1.
   
   Result: The selected mode button blinks twice.
   

5. Aim the remote control at the device and alternate between pressing the PWR button and the selected mode button. Keep alternating until the device turns off.
   
   Result: The device turns off indicating the code worked.
   
   Note: In search mode, the remote control sends IR codes from its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first
   

6. Press the SETUP button once to lock in the code.
   
   Result: The selected mode button blinks twice.
   

7. To search for codes for other devices, repeat steps 1 - 6.

   All steps complete.
