Channel Not Responding to Remote on Motorola Cable Box
Last Updated: Mon, 05 Mar 2012 > Related Articles
Summary
Learn how to fix a stuck channel by sending a box hit to your Motorola cable box.
Solution
Is your cable box stuck on a particular channel? When you use the remote to send a command, does the channel fail to change even though the LED light flashes? If so, the issue may be your cable box and not the remote.
You can fix this problem yourself by sending a box hit to your Motorola cable box using the Internet or the IVR.
- To use the Internet, click this help file: Reset Your Cable Connection.
- To use the IVR, follow the steps below:
Using the IVR to Reset Your Cable Box
Next, you will hear this message:
"If you are calling regarding an error code, picture freeze or audio interruption, a reset of your cable box may resolve the issue."
After the box hit is completed you will hear this message:
“Your cable box is being reset. This process may take up to 15 minutes. If you still need assistance, press 0. To return to the main menu, press the star key. To end this call, press 9."
