Follow these steps to deactivate McAfee Family Protection on your computer.
Solution
As a Cox High Speed Internet Customer, you have license to download Cox Security Suite Plus on up to 5 computers, and McAfee family protection on up to 3 computers. You must login as the Primary Account Holder User ID in order to use Cox Security Software. For more information on what this means, see Understanding Digital Identities and Account Types.
From your browser, enter http://www.cox.com/css to access Internet Tools.
Enter your User ID and Password, then click Sign In.
Note: If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot Password? link.

Click Manage to access McAfee Family Protection options.

If you see the "Activate" button instead of "Manage", you have not yet activated and installed McAfee Family Protection on your computer. Please see Activate Cox Security Suite Plus for instructions.
Click the Deactivate McAfee Family Protection link.

Click the Deactivate button.

After deactivating McAfee Family Protection, a confirmation message displays with instructions on how to uninstall McAfee Family Protection.
Deactivating is not the same as uninstalling. You must also uninstall the software once deactivation is complete.
