Back View

The Netgear WNR2000 has the following ports available on the back of the router:
- Power - Connects the router to the power adapter.
- Power (On/Off) - Button to turn the router on or off.
- Internet - Connects the router to the cable modem.
- Ethernet (1-4) - Connects to the Ethernet port on your computer(s).
- Reset - Used to reset the router.
Router Lights

The lights indicate the current status of your router. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

| Power | Solid Green | None. The router is powered on. | N/A |
| Flashing Green | The router firmware is corrupted. | To restore your firmware:

| Flashing Amber | The router has a problem. | If the Power light is still amber 1 minute after turning on power to the router, then turn the power off and back on to see if the router recovers. If the problem persists, then contact Customer Support. | |
| Off | No power | Verify power supply connections and electrical outlet. Also make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch. | |
| Internet | Solid Green | None. There is a connection made through the Internet port. | N/A |
| Flashing Green | None. There is network activity over the Internet port. | N/A | |
| Solid Amber | No IP address has been acquired. | If the Internet light is still amber one minute after turning on power to the router, then the Internet is not accessible. Confirm Internet settings and turn the power off and back on to see if the router recovers. If the problem persists, then contact Customer Support. | |
| Off | No devices are connected. | Verify all cable connections and the power is on to the connected computer and try resetting the modem. If cable is OK and modem reset does not work, contact Customer Support. | |
| Wireless | Solid Blue | None. Wireless feature is enabled. | N/A |
