Messages can be opened in a new window by any of the following methods.

By default, the original message is automatically included in the body of the message. This setting can be disabled by accessing Preferences and unchecking the Reply Quoting box.

All steps complete.

Sort Messages

Email is listed by date and time showing the most recent messages at the top. From the WebMail Inbox, click the heading at the top of any column to sort.
