How do I edit a Vista Mail or Outlook email account?
Windows 7 and XP (Outlook):
- In the email client, click File.
- Click Account Information.
- Click Account Settings.
Vista (Mail Only):
- Open Windows Mail.
- Click Tools then Accounts.
Windows 7 and XP (Outlook):
Select the account you want to change then click Change.
Vista (Mail Only):
Select the account you want to change then click Properties.
Windows 7 and XP (Outlook):
- Make your server changes on this screen and the More Settings screen, if necessary.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
Vista (Mail Only:
Make your server changes then follow the instructions to complete the edit. See the Microsoft support link at the start of this article for more information.
How to I edit a Live Mail account?
- Open Live Mail.
- In the lower-left corner click Mail.
- Enter your email address, password and display name.
- Click Next.
- Make your server changes and any others necessary. If setting up another Cox.net account, see Setting Up Email in Windows for more information.
- Click Next.
How do I delete a Vista Mail or Outlook email account?
Windows 7 and XP (Outlook):
- In the email client, click File.
- Click Account Information.
- Click Account Settings.
Vista (Mail Only):
- Open Windows Mail.
- Click Tools then Accounts.
How do I delete a Live Mail account?
- Open Live Mail.
- Right-click the account you want to remove.
- Click Remove account.
- Click Yes to confirm.
