Protect the privacy or recording schedule of a DVR by making it invisible to other receivers in a Whole Home DVR setup.

The Whole Home DVR setup offers a privacy feature that protects a DVR's list of titles, recordings, and storage space from being accessed by another receiver.
Go to the DVR you want Visible or Invisible.
Press the SETTINGS button on the remote.
From the Settings menu, highlight Receivers and press the SELECT button.
Result: The middle box displays DVR Network.
Highlight DVR Network and press SELECT.
Highlight the Change Network Status option and press SELECT.
  1. Highlight the Visible or Invisible option and press SELECT.
Note: An "invisible" DVR can still access "visible" DVRs on the Whole Home network.
  2. If you have already created a Parental Control PIN in the Settings menu, then a popup box displays and requires you to enter the PIN. This prevents unauthorized changes to the Visible / Invisible setting.
: After the Visible / Invisible setting is selected, and the PIN entered if required, a confirmation page displays and shows the new status of the DVR.
To make the DVR Visible again, repeat steps 1 through 4 and then select the Visible option in step 5.
