Solution

The Cox Digital Interactive M1054 Remote Control is preprogrammed with a Master Power feature that allows you to sequentially turn all home entertainment devices on or off with a single button. Once programmed, execute the Master Power control by:

  1. Pressing and holding the PWR button for at least two (2) seconds.

    Result:
    This will start the power macro sequence.
  2. Keep the remote pointed at your devices until all devices have turned on or off.

You can customize the Master Power feature by setting the sequence in which the devices will turn on or off when you press the PWR button.

Cox Digital Interactive M1054 Remote Control

To program the Master Power button, perform the following steps:

Press and hold the SETUP button until the last-selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button.

Using the number buttons on the remote, enter 9 - 9 - 5.

Result: The last-selected mode button blinks twice.

Press the PWR button.

Press the device mode buttons (AUX, AUD, DVD, TV, and / or CBL) in the sequence in which you want the devices to turn on or off.

Press and hold the SETUP button until the last-selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button.

Result: The Master Power button is programmed to turn devices on or off in the order specified in step 4.

All steps complete.

To clear the Master Power button, perform the following steps:

Press and hold the SETUP button until the last-selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button.

2

Using the number buttons on the remote, enter 9 - 9 - 5.

Result: The last-selected mode button blinks twice.

Press and hold the SETUP button until the last-selected mode button blinks twice.

Result: The Master Power button settings are cleared.
