Solution

To share files from Cox Secure Online Backup, complete the following steps.

From the My Connection page, next to My Services, click the Internet link.

Result: The Internet Tools page displays.

Enter User ID and Password, then click Sign In.

Note: If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot your Password? link.

Under My Account located on the left navigation bar, click the Manage Secure Online Backup link.

Result: The Secure Online Backup Home page displays.

From the Spaces menu, click Online Files.

Result: The File Manager page displays.

Check the box next to the file or folder, then click share shown on the toolbar.

Note: An alternative method is to hover over the More Actions icon and click the share link.

Result: The Share Items page displays.

On the Share Items page, complete the following steps.

  1. Select email addresses from the contacts box and / or enter email addresses in the email address box.
  2. If desired, set an expiration date and personalize a message.
  3. Click the Share button.

Note: The shared file or folder can show as read-only.

To close the Share Items page and return to the File Manager page, click X.
