Cox Security Suite Powered by McAfee offers you the option to check your computer for issues it may be experiencing. McAfee Virtual Technician (MVT) can be downloaded to your desktop for easy access any time you need it. To install and use MVT follow these 11 steps.

How to download McAfee Virtual Technician
If you have already installed McAfee Virtual Technician (MVT) double-click the icon on your desktop then move to Step 8.
If you have not installed it, move to Step 2.
Visit the MVT site at http://mvt.mcafee.com.
When the application displays click Next. When the File Download dialog box displays, click Run.
Note: Windows 7 and Vista users may be prompted to allow the application to run. If this happens click Yes in the User Account Control dialog box.
When the next box displays read the notice and if you accept it, click I Agree.
Allow the application to install.
Once the installation completes, choose the following options, then click Finish. You should now have a desktop icon for MVT.
After double-clicking the desktop icon, MVT will begin initializing.
From the Welcome screen click Next.
MVT will begin to scan your computer for issues.
If MVT does not detect any issues you will see a screen similar to the one below. If it does detect issues MVT will tell you how to repair them or offer to provide you with additional technical support.
