You can still use the Guide button to access programming choices, and the arrow buttons along with the Select button can be used to find and choose shows.

You can change the guide view by pressing the A, B, and C buttons, which allow you to see programming choices sorted by time, theme, or title.

Most settings will stay the same, but if you do need to make changes to your Parental Controls or other settings, simply press the Settings button on your remote, and then press the A button to see the full General Settings Menu. You should also visit this menu to set back up "Hide Adult Titles" if that was a feature you previously had.

Use the Skip function to jump forward or backward in 15 minute increments. Just press the right and left arrow buttons while you are rewinding or fast forwarding to use the skip feature.

Find the show you're looking for with Keyword Search and record. This feature allows you to search by information such as an actor's name or a partial program title. Just press the Guide button to access the search menu and use the arrows to enter your search on the onscreen keyboard.

Need to record several shows? Find out how much space you have available for new recordings by pressing the DVR List button and the A button. Then, select View Disk Info.

Choose the recording settings you want with Series Recording Manger. Now, you have the option to record an entire series with every episode (including repeats), or first-run-only. You can also choose the number of programs you want to save for each series.

Ever have two shows scheduled back-to-back? If one runs a little long, the next show doesn't record... Now, with the new Recording Overlap Manager, also known as the cropping feature, your DVR will now automatically record all of the shows with the highest priority in your series manager—and you'll only lose a few mintues of the other show.

New On DEMAND Experience. Easier Access meets More programming.

The New Programming Guide couldn't be simpler. Just tune to Channel 1, or press the On DEMAND button on your remote to see the new On DEMAND experience. You'll use arrow keys to browse the services you're interested in and explore networks, categories, and lists of available programs specific to each.

Your favorite programming is organized by category. Use the Select button to choose the main category you're interested in - like FreeZone or Premium On DEMAND, choose a network, then use the Left and Right arrows to scroll through programming such as series horizontally.

When a category you are interested in is highlighted, you can use the Up and Down arrows on your remote to scroll the list of programs vertically.

On DEMAND control is always at your fingertips. After Selecting a program, you can watch just like you would a DVD, with features like Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind, and Stop.

Choosing a program has never been easier with new, easy-to-read banners and descriptions. Just press the Info button to see all the details. If the preview option is available, you can use the Play button to see a short clip of the movie or show.
