Solution
As a Cox High Speed Internet Customer, you a have license to download Cox Security Suite Plus on up to 5 computers, and McAfee family protection on up to 3 computers. You must login with the primary account Holder User ID in order to use Cox Security Software.

Using Cox Security Software
Remember you can always find all the useful features of your McAfee software right on your desktop with McAfee Security Center. Just click the appropriate link in Cox Security Software Features.

After activating Cox Security Suite Plus on the Cox Internet Tools page, you will be forwarded to McAfee website to download the installation package.
You must first follow the steps in Activating Cox Security Suite in order to retrieve the download link. Cox Security Software must first be activated on our website and is not available for direct download.
On the Device Protection tab, click the Download button for McAfee Family Protection.
The Download button will result in an error if you have previously installed this software. See the FAQs in this article for more information.
If you have previously installed Cox Security Suite Plus Powered by McAfee or any trial version of McAfee on your computer, you may be prompted to purchase a new subscription from McAfee. As long as you are a Cox High Speed Internet customer your subscription to Cox Security Suite is free. We are working with McAfee to resolve this issue. If you receive a prompt to buy a new subscription, contact us so that we can ensure your copy remains free.

Review the License Agreement, then click I Agree.
Click Download.
Write down or save a copy of the serial number on this page for reference. You will be prompted to enter this serial number during installation.
When the McAfee Security Center window displays, choose either Complete or Custom then click the Next button.
If you choose Custom, a new window displays allowing you to choose the McAfee products that you wish to install.
Select the programs and click the Next button.
If a virus is discovered, follow the prompts to remove it. Once done, the download will continue.
McAfee begins the installation process. A green checkmark indicates that a feature was successfully installed.
Result: If you have other security software that is not compatible with Cox Security Suite, you will be asked to remove it. After removing the software, click Retry.
At the McAfee Product Installation window, check the Send anonymous usage information to McAfee box, then click the Next button.
Click the Finish button.
