Solution

Keypad

To check the current status of your Cox Home Security System using the keypad, press the System Status button.

The button lights up to show you the status. The table below describes the meaning of the light configurations.

LightSystem Condition
Green for three secondsSystem is disarmed
Red for three secondsSystem is armed
Orange for three secondsSystem is not ready to be armed. For example, a door or window is open

Key Fob

To check the current status of your Cox Home Security System using the key fob, press the Status button on the key fob for 1.5 seconds to light the LED.

The LED flashes red once to indicate that it has contacted the system. The table below describes the meaning of the light configurations.

When a key fob button is pressed, the LED flashes red once to indicate that it has contacted the Touchscreen. If the key fob is out of range of the Touchscreen, the LED flashes red three times quickly.

LightSystem Condition
Green for three secondsSystem is disarmed
Red for three secondsSystem is armed
Orange for three secondsSystem is not ready to be armed (i.e., a door or window is open)
