Summary

This procedure describes how to connect a Powerline adapter to a router.

Solution

Overview

All Powerline adapters on the network must be configured with the same password before attaching it to the router.

  1. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into an available LAN port on the router.
  2. Connect the opposite end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the Powerline Ethernet adapter.
  3. Plug the Powerline Ethernet adapter into an electrical outlet.

Do not plug the adapter into a UPS or power strip with surge protection.

All steps complete.
