Configuring CoxSync Account Settings

Solution

On the desktop, double click the CoxSync icon. 

Result: The CoxSync Companion displays.

If...Then...
The Cox login and Cox password were previously saved

Sync performs an automatic sync.

Note: Sync performs an automatic synchronization based on the default Synchronization Scheduling settings. 

Once the sync is complete, a Processing Complete Message displays.

From the CoxSync Companion Main Profile page the following icons display: 

  • Stop -discontinues sync
  • Settings-provides configuration options
  • Logs-displays synchronization events
  • Help-displays online help
  • Go To Web-links to http://www.cox.com/
Proceed to Step 2.
The Cox login and Cox password were NOT previously saved

The CoxSync Companion launches the Account login page.

  1. Enter the Cox login and Cox password.

    To save the password, click the Save Password checkbox. If you select to Save Password, Cox Sync will automatically log you in to the application going forward.
  2. Click the Next button.

    Result: The CoxSync Companion pop-up box asks Do you want to start a sync? 

    All steps complete.

Click the Settings icon.
Result: The Settings window displays.

Click the Account tab.

Result: The Account settings display. From here you can change the Cox login and Cox password.

To change the Cox login and Cox password:

  1. Click in the Cox login field and enter a new login.
  2. Click in the Cox password field and enter a new password.
  3. Check the Save Password checkbox (recommended).
  4. Click OK.  

All steps complete.
