Summary

Here's the top four tips to help you make a payment online.

Solution

Website Viewing Restrictions

  • Only the primary Account Holder can view billing details, statements, and account history for security purposes.
  • If the Account Holder has listed you on the account as an authorized second user, then you can make a payment but cannot view billing details, statements, or account history. The following tabs will not display: Recent Activity, View Statements, Bill Delivery Options, or View Bill Details. Also, the options for EasyPay, bill delivery, and billing addresses will not be selectable.

Email Address Required. A "contact email address" must be listed on the account so that the system can email you confirmation the payment was received, successful, or failed.

Website Login. If you haven't already created a User ID and Password for logging in to View/Pay Bill, click the Register link, provide the Cox account number and your PIN, then create a login.

Other Payment Options: You can also make a payment through our automated billing phone system, by mail, or at a Cox payment location

Here's the fastest way to make a payment online:

  1. Log in to View/Pay Bill.
  2. Note the due date, then click Pay Now.
  3. Enter the payment information for the checking, savings, credit, or debit account you want to use. Enter the payment date.
Note: All debit cards will automatically "pay immediately."
  4. Click Add a Payment Method to save the checking, savings, ATM, credit card, or debit card info you just entered.
  5. Click Preview Details then Submit.
Result: Your account is updated and you'll receive an email notification that the payment was made.

Next payment, you'll:

1. Click Pay Now.

2. Click "Use payment method already saved."

3. Select a payment date.

That's fast. And keep in mind you're always free to change the payment amount, method, and date.

Here's how to verify the bill amount

  1. Note the Total Due amount on the View Bill webpage.
  2. Click Bill Details and then Monthly services to see your current billing statement.
  3. Compare Bill Details to Total Due. If they do not match, click the Recent Activity tab for Recent Payments/Credits that adjusted the Total Due.
  4. Click View Statements and select last month's billing statement. Compare it to this month's billing statement for new services, pay-per-use purchases, or expired promotions that impact Total Due.

What's the Minimum Amount Due?

If your account shows a "Past Due Balance" along with the "Total Due," then you can pay the smaller amount to avoid service disruption. In the following example, paying $90.15 of the $180.30 keeps the account current.
