Caller ID Per-Line Blocking blocks your name and number from being displayed to others.
Setting Up and Caller ID Per Line Blocking
To set up per-line blocking, contact a Cox customer support representative and ask for Caller ID Per Line Blocking.
Temporarily suspend Caller ID Per Line Blocking
To temporarily suspend per-line blocking and allow your name and number to be displayed, press *82 prior to each call.
Notes:
- Calls to 911, 800, and 900 numbers cannot be blocked. Visit the National Do Not Call Registry for information on preventing unwanted calls.
- Caller ID Per-Line Blocking is free of charge, but you must notify Cox that you want the per-line rather than the per-call blocking option.
- If no option is chosen, Caller ID Per-Call Blocking is assigned.
- Once a blocking option is selected, you can change the blocking option one time, free of charge.
