Accessing the Internet Speed Check Tool

The Cox High Speed Internet Speed Check tool is available through Internet Tools and provides customers access to a speed test that measures downloads, uploads, and latency on the Cox network.
The Internet Speed Check tool is not compatible with any iDevice, including iPad, iPhone, or iTouch.
From the My Connection page, next to My Services, click the Internet link.
Result: The Internet Tools page displays.
Enter User ID and Password, then click Sign In.
Note: If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot your Password? link.
Under My Account located on the left navigation bar, click Run Internet Speed Check.
Note: Users will receive different results when using the Speed Check tool at WIFI hotspots or over a 3G/4G network. These types of networks are not connected directly to the Cox Network and the user experience will be different than the one experienced using your home-based equipment.
Result: The Check Your Internet Speed page displays.
Click Check Speed to begin the speed test.
Note: When using the Speed Check tool, firewall software like McAfee and Symantec can result in incorrect results.
Result: Once completed, Your Results display in the same window and at the bottom of the page.
To view up to 25 of your most recent speed tests ran, click View past results.
Click the What do these measurements mean? link to expand and display the results definitions.
