Summary

If you've watched a movie or played games on your TV, settings may have changed. Follow these steps to check your TV's settings.

Solution

 Check Input Settings
Press the INPUT button (this button may also be labeled TV/VIDEO, SOURCE or Antenna) on the TV or the remote control that came with the TV. A menu displays on the TV screen.

Select the option for TV. It may be labeled Cable TV, CATV, CAB, Input 1, Video 1, Antenna 1, AV1, HDMI, DVI, or another name. Check your TV user manual for the specific wording of this menu.

Note: Usually, the label describes the type of connection from the cable box to the TV such as cable (coax), AV (S-Video), HDMI, DVI, or Component.

Alternatively you can select each option, one at a time, returning to live TV to see if the option restored the picture.
