Guide Settings Checklist

With the new On Screen Guide, some of your settings will need to be reset. Here's a checklist of settings to look over to ensure your new guide is setup exaclty how you like it.

    DVR Settings While you won't lose your current recordings, you will need to reschedule any series and future recordings. You may want to make a list of the shows and movies you want to reschedule after you receive the new guide.

    Parental Control Settings. Most settings will remain the same with your new guide, but there are some new features to take advantage of, including the new "Hide Adult Titles" option, which allows you to hide the titles of adult-oriented shows.

    DVR Recordings. All DVR recordings now have a save setting of "Automatically erase as needed." Please reset these settings according to your preferences.

    Reset Your Audio and Video. You'll need to reset your Audio Volume Settings, Audio Dynamic Range, and Audio Digital Format. You'll also need to select your Video Output Formats - Use the 1080i option to maximize your viewing experience (for HD Customers only). To reset your Sidebar Color to match your previous On Screen guide, try selecting Dark Gray.

    Reset Your Timers. Change your settings for Wake Up Times, Power Off Settings, VCR Settings, Reminder Settings, and Sleep Timer.

    Pay-Per-View / On DEMAND Purchases. If you purchased PPV content on your current guide, your program will not be visible in your history on the new guide, but will remain viewable during the original rental window.

If you wish to rent a CableCARD™ in lieu of a digital receiver, you must obtain the CableCARD™ from Cox. CableCARD™ is a registered trademark of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc.
