 Overview

This article provides ways to manage folders in Enhanced WebMail, including how to:

The default folders in Enhanced WebMail are:

  • Inbox
  • Drafts
  • Sent Mail
  • Trash

These folders cannot be deleted or renamed.

 Folders created in WebMail cannot be viewed or managed from desktop email applications, such as Outlook Express. Likewise, folders created in such desktop applications cannot be managed in WebMail.

Rename a Folder

  1. Select the folder to rename.
  2. Click the title of the folder, enter the new name, then press Enter.



    Result: The new folder name displays.

A folder can also be renamed by right-clicking the folder, then selecting Rename Folder.

All steps complete.

Delete a Folder

  1. Select the folder to delete, then click the Delete selected folder from list icon.



    Result: A confirmation window displays.
     
  2. Click the yes button.



    Result: The folder is deleted and sent to the Trash folder.

A folder can also be deleted by right-clicking the folder, then selecting Delete Folder or by dragging and dropping the folder in the Trash folder.

All steps complete.

Delete Messages in a Folder

  1. Select the folder with the messages to delete.

  2. Select a specific message or multiple messages, then click the Delete button.



    Result: The messages are deleted from the folder and sent to the Trash folder.

A message can also be deleted by right-clicking the message, then selecting Delete Message or by dragging and dropping the message in the Trash folder.

Empty the Trash Folder

  1. Select the Trash folder, then click the Empty Trash button.



    Result: A confirmation window displays.
     
  2. Click the yes button.



    Result: All messages in the Trash folder are permanently deleted.

    Important: The Trash folder is automatically emptied overnight to free up storage space.

The Trash folder can also be emptied by right-clicking the Trash folder, then selecting Empty Trash.
