Use the steps below to activate HBO Go on a Samsung Smart TV.
To activate HBO GO, you must:
- Subscribe to HBO.
- Have a Cox User ID and Password.
- Own a 2010 or 2011 Samsung Smart TV. (Please see list of exceptions below.)
- Have access to a computer browser, or mobile device with access to the Internet.
Open the HBO Go app on your Samsung TV.
Upon opening the app, an HBO GO details screen displays with instructions and an activation code.
For instructions related to how to access the app on your Samsung TV, refer to the user manual for your Samsung TV model.
On a computer browser, or mobile device, go to hbogo.com/activate.
Select Your Television Provider by tapping or clicking Cox.
Sign in with your Cox User ID and Password, then tap or click Sign In.
If you are having trouble signing in, refer to Trouble Signing In on Cox.Com.
- Enter the Activation Code and tap or click Submit.
A message displays that Your Samsung player has been successfully linked to your HBO GO account. - Tap or click Continue.
