This article describes each WebMail default folder.
Solution
Use the steps below to delete messages in a folder and to delete an entire folder in WebMail.
The default folders are:
- Inbox
- Drafts
- Sent Mail
- Trash
These folders cannot be deleted or renamed.
Folders created in WebMail cannot be viewed or managed from desktop email applications, such as Outlook Express. Likewise, folders created in such desktop applications cannot be managed in WebMail.
Delete a Folder
- In the left navigation column under My Account, click Manage Folders.

Click the checkbox next to the folder you want to delete.
Result: The Manage Folders window displays.Click Delete.

There are no checkboxes next Inbox, Drafts, Sent Mail, or Trash because you cannot delete those folders.
All steps complete.
Discard Messages in a Folder
At the Manage Folders window, click the icon to the right of the folder name to completely empty the contents of that folder.

Completely emptying the Trash folder is not reversible. Your email will be permanently deleted.The Trash folder is automatically emptied on a regular basis to free up storage space. The Trash folder can also be emptied manually, if desired.
- When the pop-up window displays, click OK to empty the folder.
Result: The folder is emptied and the messages are sent to the Trash folder.
