Front View

After the cable modem has successfully registered on the network, the Cable Link and Internet indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational. For more details, refer to the Modem Lights section.
Back View
The RCA DCM425 has the following ports available on the back of the modem:
- Power - Connects the cable modem to the power adapter.
- Reset - Resets the cable modem.
- ETHERNET - Connects to the Ethernet port on your computer.
- USB - Connects to the USB port on your computer.
- Cable - Connects to the cable wall outlet.
The RESET button is for maintenance purposes only. For more details, refer to the Modem Lights section.
Modem Lights

By pressing the Internet On/Off button, it will put the modem in stand-by mode. In stand-by mode the cable Activity LED will be off, and the connection to the internet will be lost.
