What is Speed Calling?
Speed Calling allows you to enter up to eight telephone numbers, local or long distance, into your Speed Calling list. After entering the numbers, you can reach those people by dialing just one digit.
Program Your Speed Calling List
- Make a list of eight frequently dialed numbers.
- Assign each one a digital code from 2 to 9.
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Press *74 (on a rotary phone, dial 1174).
- Listen for the dial tone.
- Dial a one-digit speed code (from your list in step 2).
- Dial the telephone number you wish to assign to that speed code. (For long distance calls, be sure to include "1" plus the area code.)
- Press the # key.
- Listen for the confirmation tone.
All steps complete.
Use Your Speed Calling List
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Dial the one-digit speed code.
- Press the # key.

Change Your Speed Calling List
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Press *74 (On a rotary phone, dial 1174).
- Listen for the dial tone.
- Dial the one-digit speed code that you wish to change.
- Listen for the cancellation tone, then the dial tone.
