Installing Cox Security Software on an Additional Computer

Learn how to install Cox Security Software on additional computers in your home.
Solution
As a Cox High Speed Internet Customer, you have a license to download Cox Security Suite Plus on up to 5 computers, and McAfee family protection on up to 3 computers. You must login with the primary account Holder User ID in order to use Cox Security Software.

To install Cox Security Software on additional computer in your household, or reinstall on a computer that has previously been setup, follow the steps below.
Go to http://www.cox.com/css in your browser.
Enter your primary account holder User ID and Password, then click Sign In.
Note: If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot your Password? link.
Click the Manage button under Cox Security Software package you would like to install.
For Cox Security Suite Plus
For McAfee Family Protection
If you see a Activate Now button instead of Manage, you have not previously installed this software or have deactivated your installation. See Activating Cox Security Suite Plus or Activating McAfee Family Protection for assistance with activation.
If you followed the steps above, and received this screen instead:
Then you are logged in with a secondary authorized User ID, not the primary account holder User ID for Cox.com. To access the download page, log in with the primary account holder User ID. Based on the Cox Security Software package you selected, select one of the following options:
- For Cox Security Suite Plus, select Manage Cox Security Suite Plus.
- For Cox Security Suite Plus, select Manage McAfee Family Protection.
Downloading the Selected Software Package
At this point you will be redirected to the McAfee website to download the software package you have selected to your computer. Select your platform and package below to see the installation instructions:
Your license allows you to install Cox Security Software on up to five (5) computers and McAfee Family Protection on up to three (3) computers.
