Authorized users can view EpixHD and Turner content. Authorized users may not access HBOGo.com; only account holders may view HBO content.
Parental controls are not currently available with Cox TV Online. We are developing parental controls and will have them in 2011. However, HBO content can only be viewed by the account holder, so you can control access to HBO content by not sharing your account holder user ID and password with others. Likewise, you can control access to other Cox TV Online content by limiting whom you add as an authorized user on your account.
No, in many cases, you can go directly to the content providers' websites. You will, however, have to meet their requirements before you can access their content. By using Cox TV Online, you register once on Cox.com and then have access to the content available.
Some providers, such as Epix, require that you also register on their website the first time you access their content. You only have to register and log in the first time. Afterwards, when you sign in at Cox.com, your login information is passed directly from Cox.com to the provider.
Yes, with your Cox TV Online account holder user ID and password, you can access apps such as HBO GO, and MAX GO on iOS devices (versions 3.2 and higher) and Android phones (version 2.2). You can also access apps such as CNN, EPIX, and Turner, from your iOS devices using your Cox TV Online credentials. To access TV shows and movies, you must register on Cox.com by creating a user ID and password. Your Cox Video account must be current to view subscription based video content such as HBO or EpixHD. Otherwise, contact a Cox customer service representative for assistance.
