While watching a program on TV, press the SELECT button on the Cox remote control. It pops up an Action Menu of popular shortcuts.

For the show you're watching, select either I Like it or I Dislike it, which helps Recommendations find more programs suited to your tastes.

Auto Power Off - cuts energy cost.

This feature automatically turns OFF the cable box when it's been idle for four hours.

To activate the Auto OFF feature, press SETTINGS on the remote, then select Receivers, then Power Manager, then Receiver Power, and then Auto Power Off.

To disable the Auto OFF feature, press SETTINGS on the remote, then select Receivers, then Power Manager, then Receiver Power, and then Power Off Manually.

3 Ways to Pause TV in a Whole Home DVR network.

The HD cable box in a Whole Home DVR network can now pause Live TV. When you press the pause button on the remote for the HD cable box, either: 1) the live TV show pauses, or 2) a request displays for the person watching TV on the DVR to relinquish a tuner to the HD cable box for pausing live TV, or 3) a message displays that the DVR tuners are busy recording programs and cannot assist with the pause-TV request. From the DVR, you can cancel one of the recordings in process, which then allows HD cable box to pause live TV.

Ability to replay a scene in slow motion.

Now you can rewind a program and then watch the playback in slow motion.

Simply press the pause button on the Cox remote, then the fast forward button.

To resume normal speed at any time, press the play button.

Ability to rewind or fast forward frame-by-frame.

Now you can rewind a program and then watch the playback one frame at a time.

Simply press the pause button on the Cox remote, then the right arrow. Each press of the right arrow advances the frame.

Also, you can press pause, then the left arrow to back up one frame at a time.

Our Trio Program Guide is now compatible with the industry's new DLNA specification for Premium Video compliant devices. These devices, when available in the marketplace, can display recordings from the DVR.

New icon called CLIPPED displays when Series Recordings overlap.

Overlap occurs when the end of a series recording overlaps the beginning of the next series recording. The new CLIPPED feature clips a bit off the series episode that was given a lower priority, so that the higher priority can complete the last few minutes of its recording.
