Summary

View steps on how to back up the accounts in your Cox Secure Browse application to a file.

Solution

Cox recommends that you back up your saved accounts to a file. Follow the steps below to back up your account information.
1

Open the main menu of Cox Secure Browsing and click the Options tab.

2

Click Back Up.

Result: You are prompted to select a file name and location for your back up file.

The Master PIN used at the time the file is backed up will be required to access this file in the future. Be sure to back up your file each time the PIN is changed to ensure access to the file.

3

Select a location to save the secure file and if desired, a new file name.

Notes:

  • You can save the file the same way you save any other file - to an external storage device such as a flash drive or on another computer.
  • This file is password protected and in a unique format that can only be used by importing it into the Cox Secure Browsing application.
