How to Navigate and Use Cox Home Network Manager

Use this article for information on how to use the Cox Home Network Manager.
Enter primary User ID and Password, then click Sign In.
Result: The Internet Tools home page displays.
From the Enhancements menu, locate the Home Networking section and select Run Cox Home Network Manager.
Result: The Cox Home Network Manager main page displays. From here, you can navigate the left section of the Cox Home Network Manager page which includes Network Status, My Network, My Wireless Network, and Advanced - Port Forwarding.
Note: If the device is connected, an automatic check-in will occur. The Network Status section will display the Broadband and Wireless availability and a check in status message will display.
Manage My Network
The My Network section includes a link to the Local Network, Known Devices, and Devices Online. The Known Devices and Devices Online are LAN devices attached to the your device. The devices may be physically attached via Ethernet cable, or connected wirelessly, if wireless networking is enabled. Known Devices is the total amount of devices previously recognized as attached to your device, and Devices Online is the actual number of devices currently connected.
Managing Your Local Network
When you initially access the Home Network Manager, the Local Network window may display. From the Local Network window you can view your devices.
To view a specific device, select the device from the Local Network window.
Result: The Local Network window displays information specific to the selected device which includes:
- Device Information
- My Device Settings
- Remote Management Settings (if applicable)
From here, you can Edit Name and Icon, or Delete Device.
Important: If the device is unavailable or the check-in does not complete, changes made from this window will not be saved to the device.

Remote Management Settings
From the Remote Management Setting sections you can Edit the URL or Disable Remote Management Access.
Important: Remote Management Settings will only work on devices that have a Remote Management Interface which is determined by the vendor.
Note: If the device is unavailable or the check-in does not complete, changes made from this window will not be saved to the device.
Note: If applicable, the Local Interface URL allows you to enter a Port or Path to the interface.

Manage My Wireless Network
- To manage your wireless settings, locate My Wireless Network on the left pane of the Home Network Manager main page.
- Click the Wireless Settings link.
Result: The Wireless Settings window displays the wireless Channel and Settings. From here you can change the Channel, enable or disable wireless, change the Network Name, Restore Factory Network Name, enable or disable the Broadcast Network, change the Security Type, and Network Password.

Advanced - Add or Delete Port Forwarding
- To Manage Port Forwarding, locate Advanced on the Home Network Manager main page.
- Click the Port Forwarding link.
Result: The Port Forwarding window displays all Active Port Forwards. From here you can Add or Delete a Port Forward.
