(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Oklahoma City police say 63-year-old Gene Kirkpatrick confessed to hiring 41-year-old handyman Michael Nakvinda to kill his son-in-law in Fargo, North Dakota, for 20-thousand dollars. Kirkpatrick was arrested Monday night at his home and was charged in Cass County, North Dakota, Tuesday with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit burglary. The handyman is in the Oklahoma City jail awaiting transfer to North Dakota. Kirkpatrick's 49-year-old son-in-law, dentist Philip Gattuso of Fargo, was found dead from hammer blows to the head October 26th in his condominium. Police say Kirkpatrick didn't like the way Gattuso was raising his three-year-old granddaughter since Gattuso's wife died in March.
