Rest Stops Could Reopen With New Gov

(Richmond, VA) -- Rest stops recently shut by V-DOT could become open again. Governor-elect Bob McDonnell is vowing to come through on his pledge to reopen those rest areas. A spokesman for the soon to be new governor says McDonnell intends to reopen them within 90 days of taking the reins. Almost 20 percent of all rest areas around the state had been closed earlier this year as a means to save the state millions of dollars.<
