(Los Angeles, CA) -- A 16-year-old gang member who at age 14 seriously injured a nine-year-old girl when he shot at two men pleaded no contest Tuesday to two counts of attempted murder. Nicholas Mack also admitted gun use allegations. Mack is expected to be sentenced to a prison term of 34-years-eight-months. The shooting took place on September 11th, 2006, when Mack's co-defendant, Raymundo Villareal, drove Mack to an alley near the 14-hundred block of Cochron Avenue. Mack exited the car, walked through the alley and opened fire on two male Hispanics standing in the doorway of a residence that was adjacent to the alley. The bullet went through a wall and struck the nine-year-old girl who was in her bedroom doing homework. Mack and Villareal were arrested three days later by officers from the LAPD.
