(Los Angeles, CA) -- The owner of the Los Angeles Clippers will pay more than two-point-seven-million dollars to settle a housing discrimination lawsuit. Donald Sterling was accused of discriminating against blacks, Hispanics and families with children. The Justice Department says the settlement is the largest ever in a case claiming discrimination in rental apartments. Sterling, his wife and the Sterling Family Trust own and manage over five-thousand Los Angeles apartments through Beverly Hills Properties. Most of the settlement will be paid into a fund earmarked to award damages to those harmed by the alleged discrimination.
