Jasmyn's Story:
Jasmyn, an 11th grader at Central High School, didn’t think she had any options after graduating from high school. After becoming a member of the Whitney Young, Jr. Academy, she now realizes and has become exposed to number of opportunities that will benefit her future.

The Whitney Young, Jr. Academy was able to offer Jasmyn trips to college campuses, exposure to career options and educational enrichment opportunities. Jasmyn has improved her grades, obtained what it takes to go to college and has even decided that she would like to become a Physical Therapist or hold an occupation in athletic training.

She credits the Academy with helping her realize she does have options. And most importantly, she has enjoyed the process.

This is just one story out of hundreds. The Urban League of NE has a positive influence on the life of every adult and child it touches. Urban League of Nebraska. Empowering Communities. Changing Lives.
