Capitals: Ovechkin Is Week To Week

11-03-2009 09:50 AM EST | By ###Doug Parrish/John Domen/dlt WDC)
(Arlington, VA) -- The Washington Capitals say their star left-winger Alexander Ovechkin is suffering from an upper body strain, and his injury status is considered "week to week." Ovechkin suffered the injury during the second period of Sunday's overtime loss to Columbus. The injury will likely force him out of tomorrow night's game in New Jersey. Ovechkin, the league's leader in points with 23, and goals with 14, has missed only two games because of injuries in his career.<
