Fort Washington Woman Killed In Parking Lot

11-03-2009 09:50 AM EST | By ###Doug Parrish/John Domen/dlt WDC)
(Glenn Dale, MD) -- A Fort Washington woman is dead after she was struck and killed while walking through a parking lot in Glenn Dale yesterday. Investigators say 55-year-old Karen Prince was hit by an SUV moving backwards in the parking lot at the Vista Gardens Marketplace, not far from Routes 450 and 704. Rescue crews say Prince was trapped underneath the vehicle and not breathing when they got there. The driver of the SUV was also hospitalized. It's unclear how fast the vehicle that struck Prince was moving at the time. So far no charges have been filed, though the investigation is continuing.
