Body Of Missing Boater Found

11-03-2009 08:38 AM CST | By ###Todd Dunne/ml
(Westwego, LA) -- Authorities say the body of a boater reported missing Saturday was found Monday in the Westwego Canal. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says the body of 44-year-old Robert Dominique, of Westwego, was pulled from the canal by rescue crews. Dominique's boat was found adrift and unmanned Saturday. He had last been seen Friday when a friend dropped him off at a boat launch at Bayou Segnette [[senn-YET]]. Wildlife and Fisheries agents found the boat with a life jacket inside. Family members positively identified Dominique's body Monday. An autopsy will be conducted.
