Cox Connexions

In August 2007, "Cox Connexions" was created to be the premiere local public affairs program in the greater New Orleans area. The goal was to entertain, education and inform viewers on the people, places, organizations and events that truly make up what makes New Orleans unique.
The show creators realized as the community and local leaders were collaborating to redefine and rebuild the region, the show should be utilized as a forum to allow the audience to hear about those local notables, organizations and uplifting events in the community. "Cox Connexions" would provide a forum representing the "new" New Orleans by securing guests depicting:
Notable citizens (authors, politicians, local celebrities)
- Local citizens accepting leadership roles within the community
- Volunteer organizations
- Non-profit organizations
- Local event representatives
- Cultural organizations
- And others
"Cox Connexions" provides viewers the opportunity to feel connected with people and events in the community and allow locals to be a part of an unprecedented collaboration with government, citizens, private and not-for-profit organizations. The impact of "Cox Connexions" has gone well beyond what anyone could have ever envisioned when the program initially hit the airwaves. In the community, the show has received high praise from the business community, media, viewers and customers alike. Viewers have enjoyed the weekly stories and community updates that many had no concept were occurring.
"Connexions" has interviewed such notables as Irma Thomas, Chef John Besh, Eric Paulsen, Marva Wright, Arnie Fielkow, Blaine Kern, George Shinn, Frogman Henry, Kelly Gibson, Angela Hill, and so many others.
