(Atlanta, GA) -- The federal appeals court in Atlanta has upheld the death sentence for the man convicted of abducting and killing preschool fitness instructor Julie Love 21-years ago. On Wednesday, the appeals court rejected Emanuel Hammond's bid for a new trial. In writing the unanimous decision, Judge Ed Carnes detailed Hammond's violent past and said that Love had no way of knowing that the July 11th, 1988 attack on her was just the latest in a series of violent attacks against women.
