Pilot Of Crashed Plane May Have Been Returning To Airport

11-03-2009 03:30 AM EST | By ###Don Dornberg/ab
(Lawrenceville, GA) -- National Transportation Safety Board investigators on Monday were back on the scene of Friday afternoon's fatal plane crash in Gwinnett County. NTSB investigator Butch Wilson says the pilot of the Cessna 310 was in a steep turn and may have been trying to return to the airport when the plane plunged into a house. Pilot James Wardlaw and Judith Kirchner, who was in the home with her husband, were killed. Wilson says it may take six months to determine the cause of the crash.<
