(Atlanta, GA) -- Metro Atlanta commuters, soaked from recent rains, can expect a dry ride to work this morning as sunshine returns through the early part of the week. The metro Atlanta area received eight-point-71 inches of rain last month, the second wettest October on record. The wettest October occurred back in 1995 on the heels of Hurricane Opal, dousing the area with just over eleven inches of rain. Today's highs are expected up to the mid 60s with a warm-up due for mid-week when highs could reach the upper 60s.
