11-02-2009 03:30 AM EST | By ###Frank Prichard/psl
(Stockbridge, GA) -- A Morehouse student seriously injured in a bus crash over the weekend remains in Grady Hospital early this morning. Students gathered at the Martin Luther King Junior International Chapel for a service remembering the crash. Thankful no one was killed. One of three buses carrying the "House of Funk" Marching Band to Albany State for a football game skidded off of I-75 southbound in Henry County. The bus flipped twice during the accident that occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday. More than a dozen members of the band sustained injuries, none life-threatening according to Captain Jason Bolton of the Henry County Police Department. Several of the victims were treated at area hospitals and released. One of the two students most seriously injured was released from Grady after an overnight stay.
