Murren outlined the philosophy behind the “City within a City” and pointed out that, “We decided to build something different, not just to the benefit of the community, but expanding the interest globally for consumers to come to Las Vegas.”

When the $8 billion dollar mixed-use complex is unveiled in December, it will also be home to an estimated 12,000 new jobs.

“I feel very strongly that we can improve the quality of life for the people that live here, and the people that will come, if we create great urban planning and esthetics and design elements to counter our suburban lifestyle,” said Murren.
