Cox is co-title sponsor of new downtown parade and festival acknowledging Hispanic heritage

The Fiesta Las Vegas Latino Parade & Festival is a newcomer to the local events scene and will take place for only the second time in downtown Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 15 – the kick-off of the national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event celebrates the diverse cultures within the Southern Nevada Latino community while fostering unity among all ethnic groups.  Cox Las Vegas is a co-title sponsor of the now annual event along with La Bonita Supermarkets.

A colorful and vibrant parade with entries acknowledging Latin American nations will stretch along the official parade corridor along 4th Street from 10 am until noon. Internationally recognized, singer and actress Graciela Beltran from Sinaloa, Mexico will serve as grand marshal.  In addition to an entry from Cox Las Vegas, the parade will feature colorful floats, walking groups, marching bands, ROTC units and equestrian teams.

A free festival celebrating Latin America through culture and traditions, music and dance will take place immediately following the parade along the Fremont Street Experience and Ogden Street from 12:30 pm to 10 pm. Attendees will enjoy a multitude of informational booths, product sampling and food vendors featuring Latino specialties.  Visit Cox at booth number 140/141.

Live performances take place from musical guests such as Dharma from Mexico City, Local 34 from Miami, as well as local favorites Mariachi Mexico Antiguo and Conjunto Peña Blanca.
